Bronze Guardianship 

This level of guardianship is for students who must be 16 years and over or who are in the 5th form of a recognized school.  This is a different type of guardianship, in so far as the Host Family is not expected to accept any guardianship responsibilities.  However they would have the normal responsibility of care implicit in the acceptance of the student into their home.  Pam Keracher, on behalf of SOGA would accept guardianship of all students.  The agreement between SOGA and the student and his family would be for:

• Accommodation, if required, for all exeats, half term and at the beginning and end of term.
• Airport transfers as required.
• Emergencies- at home or at school.
• Attendance by a representative of SOGA at parent teacher meetings.

Deposit: £

A deposit is required this is used to pay transportation charges and any special expenses. A separate accounting is made each term and parents are asked to`top up` at the beginning of each term, to ensure that £ 400 is held on credit incase of an emergency.  The credit will be carried forward to the next accounting period or refunded at the end of the school year.

Accommodation cost £ 28.00 per night must be requested at least 14 days prior to the holiday period or a late booking fee will be added £ 2 per night and under 7 days £ 5. per night.

If accommodation has been requested then cancelled, a cancellation fee of £ 2 per night will be charged for cancellations between 5 and 10 days before the start of the holiday period and £ 5 per night under 5days. 

All requests for accommodation and cancellation must come to SOGA via the student`s  Housemaster or Housemistress.

Transportation cost:

Mileage .45p will be charged for journeys between the guardians home and the school, and for airport transfers. The waiting time if required at the airport is charged at £ 5 per hour.
